The U16 Girls All Star team
(Forca) of the Peterborough Youth Soccer Club are the U16
girls Champions of the UMSC All Star/Select soccer tournament
held over the August 22/23 weekend. Forca tied their first game
against Belleville 1-1 with the Peterborough goal by Carlie
Moloney. Forca won against UMSC All Stars 1-0 on a goal by Emily
Vissers and tied their third game 1-1 against Scarborough on a goal by
Emily Vissers. Forca won the final championship game 3-2 over
Belleville on goals by Mikenna Huggins, Alicia Adams and Emily Vissers.
Caitlin Sampson was chosen MVP of the
final game by the coach of the Belleville team for her strong play on
defence.
