Dear referees,

The regular season is over. It was another successful year thanks to your help and assistance. I only have few more events to look after and then it is all done:

The Playoffs are on the weekend of September 11 & 12. All games are assigned and confirmed. Special thanks to all of you who are reefing during Playoffs.

The cheques will be in mail on Sept.12 which means that you should have them in your hands by Friday Sept.17 or earlier. If you do not receive your cheque by that date please email me ASAP.

The banquet for the players is from Monday Sept.20- Wednesday Sept.22

The Referee of the Month for the month of August is Ray Houle. Congratulations Ray!

The indoor season starts in October, I believe. For any additional information you should check their website at www.pyisc.org or get in touch with their Head Referee Rob Cohen at pyisc_referee@cogeco.ca and ask any questions that you might have.

Although the season is over, I will keep you posted with regular monthly newsletters that you can also check in your own on in our club’s website at www.pysc.on.ca under my window: referee’s corner.

I would like to congratulate Peter Van Winsem on his time of retirement from soccer. Peter is one of the forefathers of our club and he has contributed as a ref for almost 40 years. Congratulations Peter on your retirement as a ref.

If you are NOT planning to referee anymore for the next season, could you please let me know now, so I can remove your name from the list therefore it will save you a lot of emails that you will receive but that you will not need.
